Help with Airbrush setup !!!

Ok I figured it out, so help me out Please !! I want to setup the salon for airbrushing. My wife is going to be the artist and I'm the guy who's ion charge of getting everything in order. Questions are
1. What is the recommended size of the room for airbrushing?
2. What equipment is the best for an airbrush setup, I saw a setup for TorboTan 3000 on Ebay for $799 includes everything.. Is this a good deal?
3. What solution is the best. Business is slow right now and I will build the room and purchase the airbrush setup before the end of the year.
4. Should I just pay the distributor's $1199 for the whole "ball of wax" ???
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas !!1

Re: Help with Airbrush setup !!!

Hi,
I bought the Turbo Bronzer 3000 by California Tan talked w/ Gary. I actually called them about their new auto tan booth, but priced out of my league.
I have a 8x8 room. Plenty big. problem is over spray. I have a plastic shower curtain hanging on the wall, so I can wipe it down. They sell a portable stall.
Paid same thing and I just checked my sales $1,464. since June for UV FREE SPRAY ON TANNING. I've paid for the equipment.
I like the Cal Tan solution alot. It last 8-10 days compared to when I did Mystic which last 5, & 3 days(guess I got in the pool or something). Just bought Norvell's sunless solution and it is DARK! I had rubbed it on my stomach to check out the color. Did it last week and it's still there 7 days and counting...
I will keep both solutions, choices is the name of the game.
Some people don't like the idea of body detailing ( me spraying them ) others love it. Goes only where you want it.
I did a lot of leg tans, for $8 upgrade, meaning they had a UV bed package!
$15 with out a package.
I just finished with Breast Cancer treatments and could not tan. Image a white salon owner. SO spray tan works great. Every time I sprayed everyone wanted to know what lotion and bed I use. Could have sold anything!!!!!
SO back to orginal ? I got my money back.
WHen I bought my turbo 3000 is came with 2 solutions
hope this helps

Talking Re: Help with Airbrush setup !!!

My hubcap did my whole room top to bottom for under a grand...bought my body gun (39.00) and compressor (59.00 or 69.00) from lowes....3 walls 4 X 8 sheets so my spray area is 4x4x4 and our room is about 4x6 total.... of the board that one would put in a bathroom of a mobile home...cleans great after a tan with citrus cleaner and a clorox swiffer type thingee (about 12.00)...bought a face gun at Michaels with a 40% off coupon they put in the sunday paper so what everyone else pays 99.00 for mine was about 50. total...we then used self stick tile on the floor and bought throw away white paper and tape that to the floor for the customer to stand on for sanitary purposes and also have all the throwaway clothes for the job...a self dispensor for barrier creme on the wall and a bag dispensor (9.99) from bed bath and beyond and put the plastic caps in so all is in the room...built my compressor in the wall so no noise in the room have a black and decker fan that will blow your hat off (39.00) and a ceramic heater(9.99) and cross them so you have warm air blowing fast for drying...and 3 halogen little lamps with clips (9.99 each) from office depot.....wanna see a pic?? give me your email and I will send ya one..blaaaa to anything more then $999.....we were making a profit the third month....

Ooops forgot...we even have sandals called down unders....where the sandal sticks to the bottom of your feet and nothing on top to ruin your spray...they are throw aways (these are about .50 a pair) ...however they even make em that are not throw aways..I sell them in my store for 9.99 and they go like hot cakes...they even have a 1 year warranty on them and can be replaced for 4.00 for s&h...if they don't stick anymore one washes them w/ soap and water, let em dry and ready to wear again and again...pm me if you want wholesale pricing on either the throw aways or both...tons of colors mens and ladies sizes too...in Florida people love em...just to jump on and walk to your mail box there great...awesome add on sales......

Best of luck to ya... Soo

I saw those in a magazine, but can't find them now. I have been looking for these for weeks! Can you get me the info please?

I don't think we will need them so much now, as we just installed a Sunless Revolution Booth. But we will still offer the hand held spray.
