Helios new \"thin\" client

Andy, I am adding another work station to my salon which means purchasing another computer. would it be better to upgrade to the thin client hardware? what info can you give me about them? what happens if internet is down?

Either ScottB or wildfire can give you updated info from Helios. The last info I have is based on my knowledge at the end of September.

The thin client hardware ONLY works with V12 (Centrix) NOT V11 and you need that thin client hardware for your front counter systems with V12, I believe Helios are not allowing a regular computer to operate at that location.

Not sure what the status of v12 is, I know the intent stated at the Nashville show was to have it available for Beta testing Nov 1st ... not sure if that became fact or not. Regardless, that was related to new users, not sure of the timeline related to conversion of V11 users to this new platform.

What happens if Internet is down ... based on info from the end of Sept, you would be down. I know this was a major issue raised by many at the Nashville show and since. Helios were reviewing their approach on this issue but I am unware if they have redressed their design related to this issue.
