I stand clarified on that point. Thank you Tom. I did sort of run those two thoughts together and it probably got a little confusing.
BCC is mass-marketing and does not give the sender the opportunity to customize the message to the recipient. It is simply one message sent to all recipients. My point with using BCC is that if you are sending a common message it protects each individual recipients' email address from public visibility. I am in favor of the individualized message for the personal touch but it would also require the sender to either review and send each email or else have a program that can make customizing changes to an email template and send that customized message to one recipient, being able to process the list of clients in unattended fashion. If such a miracle program exists for the TSO, I would love to try it out and see if it indeed all it is cracked up to be. As I said, I haven't evaluated any software products for this purpose so I'm not prepared to advise or recommend any particular one. |

My point with using BCC is that if you are sending a common message it protects each individual recipients' email address from public visibility. This is what I want. This is what I am doing now. I send out announcements or specials to ALL clients at once. And, I don't want their information displayed for others to read. BCC is want I want to be able to do. I don't want a program with fancy beels and whistles. I just want a program that will allow me to continue what I am doing but, be able to send out more that 11 at a time. I want them all to go with hitting "send" once. If I want to send a presonal email to one of the clients, I just write it and send to their address only. I'm looking for my pens..... |

I generally try not to promote any body’s software, they’re all sort of a beauty contest, everybody has their favorites based on their business needs. I will mention one package that I’ve had success setting up on a many systems with one BIG caution, Mach5 demo: http://www.mach5.com/download/mailer/ $250.00, but the BIG caution is that support is NON-EXISTANT, the only problem that I ever ran into was for some reason it just wouldn’t set-up or run from one system, the point is that it ran fine “out of box” from many other systems, so if the demo sets-up on the system you shouldn’t have this problem, although there still could be other problems I haven’t run into. Good Luck. Tom |

Re: EMAILING TO CLIENTS.....WHAT PROGRAM IS BEST??????
I use phplists. It as well has no support, but for the big price of 'free', there's a balance. It is opensource which means that you can find internet 'communities' that openly discuss the software and it's appications.Something you won't find with commercial software.
This software is a practical approach up to about 10k records, beyond which a commercial package may have advantages. As Tom mentioned, support may not be one of them. |

Re: EMAILING TO CLIENTS.....WHAT PROGRAM IS BEST??????
I just downloaded EZ Batch Email program from www.veryusefulsoftware.com, now its version is 4.0, it has features I wanted for a long time, one is scheduler, which will send email at scheduled time.
Also I noticed that now it supports BCC and some other improvement. I would say it is definitely worthed a try. |

Re: EMAILING TO CLIENTS.....WHAT PROGRAM IS BEST??????
have you tried atomic mail sender? it uses its own smtp server so the email is sent direct and there is no limit to the amount of emails that can be sent at one time.

You might try searching www.download.com. I've had tons of luck finding good applications of this type there.
