The XP Pro SP2 issues have be resolved since Nov 2004.

Yes the last update V11.4 includes all of those enhancements made necessary due to Microsoft's inappropriate release.

No issue left here with V11 .... This is a Microsoft issue John not Helios, we have adapted V11 to operate with SP2 from Microsoft ... V9 and V10 will not be addressed.

You may have issues to deal with if and when you acquire new hardware.

I just received another demo of Helios and it is version 11.3.7; it constantly exits out in the middle of an entry screen(mainly sales code area), numerous lock-ups and error messages (invalid indexes, object closed), etc... been very frustrating. I have tried on three brand new machines with same results. The only common thread is they all are running win XP Pro SP2. Could it be issues from that and if so, how can I get a newer version to trial before purchasing?

Anyone else had similar issues with this version or is it flaky because it is running in demo mode?

That is a SP2 issue and V11.3.7 is NOT SP2 compliant.

I also just had another client upgrading and they received old V11.3.7 CD as well from the Helios Inventory.

I have been assured that now all V11.3.7 CD's have been destroyed

The current CD is V11.4 and it is SP2 compliant

Tommy, really the only thing to miss is the PHOTO which has been moved to the Check In tab.

I personally think that most of the other enhancements to the POS screen are desirable:
... separate current session area
... separate activity history area with up to 20 lines of detail

The only other thing remaining that is different is that 4 of the user defined fields are on the summary tab (making room for the two email fields. With V12 these return to the main Client Info area

beachbumz ... call Helios Sales 888.936.5160 Press 5 for Sales

Tell them you are having SP2 problems with the V11.3.7 CD and ask them to send you a V11.4 CD asap
