Cuz why! Does it have to do with amperage generated by the bed, or is it a sly ploy to make have to buy more buck boosters at $250 a pop plus installation?

No. 3 phase are usually BIGGGGGGG BEDS that pull a WHOLE LOTTA POWER. If you have a place already, go by what you have available. If you have single phase, then don't buy 3 phase beds. To upgrade your electricity to 3phase is HUGE MONEY. Buck boosters are a MUST no matter what bed you get.

Ok. But how do I stay in business then if I can't compete with my competition? I have to offer the same types of services that they do, or I will lose business. What a dilemma.

Should I advertise? What would be a good amount of money to spend promoting this one, unique component of my business do you think? Thanks for sharing.

Yes you should advertise. Sell what you can to make money. Salons where I live sell all kinds of stuff. Some sell jewelery, drinks, clothing items. I've seen salons sell the pictures off their walls. One salon owner was selling glass crosses and crafts. If there's a high school near by, market your products and servies to the high school girls. Get your name out there! Be top notch service! Give other salon owners a run for their money! And of course, turn your A/C on!! Maybe the 90 degree heat in your salon is turning away customers? And maybe the bugs too? I once tanned in a HEX that had flies, and it was no fun! Needless say, I don't tan at that salon anymore!
