just found out why the bed might not be working. both ends of my phone cord are not the same. i was told that when placing the two ends side by side the wire colors should be in the same order. does this sound correct to anyone?? if so how do i convert the wires?? thanks for any help

The wire supplied by T-Max are the same as phone cord, however the order in which they are crimped into the connectors is reversed. For example, the phone cord maybe yellow, red, green, black. T-Max goes the opposite: black, green, red, yellow. So if someone has tried to use a standard phone cord, that would be a problem.

The black wire should run straight through...Typical phone wire the polarity is reversed so if you crimp your rj-22 one with plastic pin clip up and the other down should solve the problem...or just get the flat silver satin 4 wire from four season or sun not real expensive you can even order it to proper lenghts with hand set plugs already crimped on..

You can get a crimping tool for phone cords, as well as the connectors from places such as Radio Shack if you need to fix the ends.

Yes go to Radio Shack and purchase a pack of r22's and the crimp tool both for less than $25. You wan to line the ends of the cable up so the black is on the left with the same clip alignment, the cable crimp tool has a stripper built in and insert the cable into the r22 and crimp. Take your cable to RS and purchase the stuff, the guy will probably do it for you so you can see how it is done.

Means that when holding both ends of the com line in your hand the black wire is on the same side. The plugs have little plastic tabs on them that sucure them into position use them as reference when crimping them make sure your com line is flat and not twisted anywhere and then just reverse the rj-22's
