Re: No Techs to help me!!!!

most of the time you have to install a jumper wire in place of using an external timer in order to use the onboard timer and if you have a digital display you will also need to re-configure the setup parameters in your onbard timer.

Re: No Techs to help me!!!!

This unit has the ballast tray under the bed. It also has a digital timer on the canopy mounted into the acrylic. This also has a timer brain (circuit board) in the ballast tray. Like blaizintan has said you need the jumper. This is not a normal by-pass plug, it looks like a jack that you use for speakers on a stereo system. If you just want to use the timer on the bed, you need the by-pass and you will need to program the digital key pad in order for it to work. Same for if you want to use it with a remote timer system, as your wires from the T-max 3A from the j3 contact will need to go the the same spot on the timer brain. This unit was only made a couple of years by ets. BIG PROBLEM.... KEY PAD AND TIMER BRAIN YOU CAN NO LONGER GET ANYWHERE WHEN IT GOES OUT. AND SORRY TO SAY IT WILL EVENTUALLY. THE ONLY PERSON I KNOW THAT MAY HAVE ONE IS TAN SYSTEMS BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK SO. Again, if you haven't got it fixed, send me a pm and I will give you my numbers you can reach me at. Good luck

Re: No Techs to help me!!!!

Oh! personally I would try to get your money back from whom ever sold it to you or fight him in court. Big difference in a 1994 and 2000 model bed. Parts are hard to find. You can by-pass the complete key pad and timer brain but that will be expensive for labor and parts.
