Hi, Recently I updated my Helios 9 to Helios 11, in Helios 9 to backup the database I just had to go to the menu Utilities and ....... But in Helios 11 there's no menu Utilities, and to backup the database the employee has to go the Helios folder and copy the files .mdb to a backup folder. The thing is that I dont like the idea of the employee sniffing around in the Windows folders and that...so, is there an option in Helios 11 to backup the databases ?
Thanks in advance.

Yes isn't it interesting and frustrating that version 11 has removed the utilities/backup function while adding a million new features that most old-timer users could care less about. If you read their manual they clearly state that you must use a third party utility for backups. We use Winzip daily to create a compressed backup (*.zip) file to a backup folder on another computer at the salon. You can compress the entire contents of the Helios data folder to one file I then transfer this compressed file over a VPN to one computer at my home, and restore it to a second. At the end of every business day we have our data on four computers and I can run reports at home (no need for point-of-sale).

You definitely don't want your employees fooling around with your data file through Windows: a disaster waiting to happen.
