Rep Power: 25 | Tech Support can provide you with the steps to do this on either XP Pro or Win2000 Basically, you need to set permissions in the Systems Registry on the Helios Key for the limited user (or Everyone) to have full control. With Win2000, you need to use Regedt32 to set permissions in the Security tab on the Helios Key. Then on the Helios Data directory you need to set the security setting to provide the limited user (or Everyone) to have full control. Hope this helps, contact Tech Support for further instructions and details. |

Rep Power: 25 | Call Helios Tech Support and ask them for the procedures to be email. You can also email the request to support@gohelios.com Make sure you identify that you are using Windows 2000 ... the procedure for 2000 is very different from XP Pro Make sure you leave the current administrator account and create a new user for the "normal" (limited) account. That way if all is not well the administrator account should still be operational. |

Perhaps you need to button it. Andy has always been helpfull for everyone there is a reason he is asking to call tech support. |

Rep Power: 25 | Nudebie ... two responses on your comment. 1. Many times I am out of the office when I respond to questions within Internet Forum. On this issue for example we have written procedures relating to the steps that Tech Support can provide. I guess I could just say nothing but believed that referring jlb1484 to the appropriate source of the solution to their questions would be desirable. 2. With respect I believe the 1,281,118 characters that I have contributed (to date) to this forum over the last 5+ years may in fact give me the right to response as I see fit. You do not like my response ... press that BACK button. |
