Hi, I’ve just installed Helios 11, and I knew that there is a new feature.
The feature is that the client comes to the Saloon and he doesn’t have to give his name to the receptionist, he just puts his finger on the scanner and the scanner recognizes by itself who is the person with his finger on it.
That feature is only available if I activate it in System defaults- Peripherals- in " Type of Fingerprint Reader " I chose "Digital Persona". And clicking on "Start at Finger Print Reader".
But with "Digital Persona" the possibility of "Start at Finger Print Reader" is unabled.
Please tell me what can I do…Can u help me please ?

Only the HELIOS Fingerprint has the ability to IDENTIFY and retrieve a client ... the Start At option is only applicable that HELIOS model.

The Digital Persona device is the verify model. It confirms the client that was manually retrieved.

Of course in both cases you must have the device and drivers for same properly installed prior to selecting any Fingerprint model.

We are currently have issues with the Helios identify model and have suspending further sales of this model until these issues are resolved with the manufacturer.

Andy, We bought the Software with the Digital Persona to Helios. What can I do?
Will helios change the device?

Does version 11 have the security hole in it like version 9 did/does, where the employee can hit escape during verification and use there fingerprint instead of the customers and then put the tan on an employee tan?????

We had the fingerprint scanners and got rid of them...too much hassle!!! It got frustrating for a lot of people when you have to tell them several times to try their fingerprint again...and it's especially embarassing when a regular comes in (hey Joe, how's it going, how was your vacation, how's your wife, oh by the way..just so we know who you are for sure, will you please give us your fingerprint!!) LoL. We now only have them for employees to verify their clock ins and clock outs. We run ours through SunLync though, but they are digital persona scanners.
