Hello,My name is Cliff and have never posted here before.(I didnt know what a t-max was 2 days ago.)I am trying to help a freind set her t-max system up and had great luck with the manager pro and 5 of 6 boxes being addressed. If I hook up a sixth bed (a sundazzler with the pad built in to the unit)all heck breaks loose. At one point the manager pro only found 2 beds and when we tried them useing adnet 2000,listed bed 1 made beds 1 and 2 came on together and bed 2 made 3,4,5,6 come on.I leave the data cable unplugged on the sundazzler, readdress, and set up the other 5 everything works great.Would anybody have any idea why the sundazzler (or the different t-max 3a built into it)would cause this to happen?I apologize for the context of this post, as I have never done any of this before including posting on the net.I thank any body in advance who might reply with a suggestion.

It sounds like the Dazzler timer might be set to address 0, or possibly address 1.
Disconnect the Dazzler from the network. Power it off. Power it back on. Press the UP & START buttons at the same time till you see a .1 Press the START button, you will see a flashing number. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the flashing # to the bed number. Press the START button. You will get .1 Press UP & DOWN (at the same time).. the timer will go to "0". Now, reconnect the Dazzler to the network. All should be well. Dan |

Does it make any difference/sense to have the other five beds addressed first on the manager pro(reserving the proper bed # for the Sundazzler)or should I do this procedure first then readdress them all together? Also,if Dan Boone reads this I screwed up the proper directions you gave on your post, thats where the PM I sent you came out of.(follow the directions properly, wow what a concept:).Thanks again for any and all advice,it is truly appreciated.

Cliff,
I received your PM. A solid "3" with a flashing decimal point indicates the bed is in delay mode with a 3 minute delay. This might help... Get the display back to "0". Press, and hold down the START button. While the START button is held down, press and hold down the UP button. The display should go to a solid ".1" Release both buttons. Now... Press, and release, the START button, the display will flash the bed address. Set the address to the bed number. Press, and release, the START button to go back to a solid ".1" Now... Press, and release, the UP & DOWN buttons (at the same time), the display will return to "0". The bed in now addressed. If you are still having problems, you will need to contact Heartland for a replacement comm's chip. Dan |

Hello Dan,Just wanted to post a Thank you here, really appreciate your time and advice. It worked great when I read thru and followed it.(First time I had pushed wrong buttons),I beleive the comm. chip does need replacing. To validate that I had beds 1,2,3,4,6 working when The sundazzler's data wire was unplugged.Made sure sundazzler was addressed correctly numerous times,But any time its data wire was plugged in to the manager pro network, only had a solid #1 and n/a on t-max pro screen.Only posted this as maybe it will be helpful(maybe?)to some one else. Thanks again Dan.
