Does Helios have the option for a POS system? How can I keep value on our Gift Cards? How can you use them at all of the locations?

no....not what I am talking about...I am looking for a customer to buy a gift card and use it at any store....when someone uses the G.C. I want the additional money left on the card to stay on the card not on Helios....

Well, POS stands for Point Of Sale. But I get it, I think that with a Gift Card, it would have to be set up with a Financial Institution. Here we have Monteris as an example, but you'd have to talk to Andy to get a definite answer.......

yeah, I need Andy...and yes POS stand for Point of Sale....but I need to know if Helios can handle a couple of deep transactions...I have been told no...but I would like to hear if it is close and if it can handle a couple of our growing pains....

at this point the external service would be the way you would need to go. You would then turn off tracking of Gift Certificates in Helios because you will not have a Gift Certificate # to record.

Assuming with Gift Cards that you no longer sold Gift Certificates was well you could use Payment Method 4 - GC for the redemption of same as a payment method.

Helios will be working on creating a Gift Card module / interface within Helios ... but at this point it is concept ... it is being discussed for future development.
