Does anyone know who would carry parts for the older Sundash beds??? Seems pretty crazy to me they want me to spend thousands for new beds because they can't figure out how to fix my problems. They still tan just fine.

In general, Jeff Valaska at The Parts Warehouse (now part of Heartland) is among the very best for helping on hard-to-find (and current!) parts.

What specific parts are you looking for - for what model beds? No luck with Forever Tan or American Sun Systems in your area?

I have 20 minute Sundash 1995 and 1997 models. I have one bed that keeps throwing my T-Max timer crazy numbers. Forever Tan said I need a Comm Chip. Chip wouldn't fit my bed. Then they said I needed a circuit board which would not work because of the age of my bed. These beds are work horses but I need to find someone who can supply parts when I need them. I have contacted Heartland about hinge covers and they didn't have them. I will contact them about the other parts. I will also contact Sun Systems. Thanks for your help...

With the older beds, yes, just popping in a current chip probably won't work. Need to buy a new power board (circuit board) - which will come with a chip that will work with it - and probably the rail timer too. Almost $300 for the board and another $150 for the timer, but still cheaper than a new bed! And you can install them into these older beds. Seems you often have to install both so they work together. Just did this with a friend's beds (same era, and some even older!) and they've been working fine.

Hinge covers - the back plastic piece? These will be harder to find since older but keep searching - they're out there.

Try SE direct in Jonesboro also. 1-800-643-0086

Good luck! My friend started with 11 old Sundash beds that he bought for a song. We cleaned them up, replaced a few lamp holders, repainted lamp covers, got some new stickers, put in a few new fans and a couple of power board/rail timer assemblies, replaced acrylics and lamps and he had a whole salon full of equipment for pennies on the dollar to go along with his new upgrade beds! TONS of work but his salon is rocking now and he's ready to consider a 2nd!

If you still have trouble, PM me. I have SE equipment and have enough friends in the industry that I can usually find someone who knows someone who has something!

You could just pull the power board out and hook it up to a 3a and be a lot cheaper!

3A = 3A t-max timer

Also - for your hinge covers -- if it is just the fasteners that have broken off, can sometimes use double stick velcro tape to get them to stay in place.

Blue, you can disconnect the power board hook a tmax 3a to the red and black wires! 3a=$89 power board and rail timer=$350 especially if you are already using Tmax manager!
