Our computer crashed. Most recent Helios backup of data files is a few months old. Reinstalled ver 9.4. Helios opens fine with sample data. When we copied our Data directory from a backup cd to the Helios/Data directory, it won't open. Helios starts to load then says the "client.mdb" file is in an unrecognized database format. Won't let us in at all unless we switch back to the sample files. Is there any kind of "fix" or "rebuild" or anything for our data files to even verify they were good or can be fixed? We are scrounging in the meantime for other data backups (the need for better organization learned the hard way). Any ideas?

Wow - quick responses - I love this forum. I appreciate your help. You are all very friendly.
Looking over the backup disk, there are .ldb files which indicate the program was running while someone did the backup. I'm sure that didn't help. Where do I find this "db compare" file? Is it buried in the Helios utilities somewhere? Thanks again for everything, Patrick |
