Hey everyone,

Newbie with what may be a major problem or more a cash set back any advice appreciated.
I touched a low volt wire from the bed to back of the timer, after that I got a beep from my Manager and system went DEAD ... across the board in box 1 thru 8 -------. I talk to tech support they said change communication chip first so I went to a local distributor pick up some and changed them on all timers plus Manager still nothing...

To late now for tech support so has to wait till the morning, So i was Wondering if anybody else may have made this expensive mistake if so do i have to buy new manager & timers...HELP

Thanks in advance...

Make sure that the first timer in the daisy chain is connected properly. Otherwise the rest will not function. Low voltage doesn't zonk out that easily.

Hey Neon,

coming to the rescue once again...the first timer is a 1a and it says 0 . I press the buttons nothing happens a number flashes really quick but that it. Where as one of my high pressure runs on a 3a I was able to set manually and turn on but bed one nothing happens... Plus I don't know how to set them up yet to honest. I down loaded a tmax manual to read up and get a clue, other wise waiting to call tech support again before buying whole system...

I'd need the manual in front of me to help you thru it, but I'm at home right now. And I forget the procedure. Get back to me tomorrow morning if you haven't heard from the techies.

What type of bed?

For ETS beds, the low voltage wire is +5V DC and should not cause any problems.

Other bed remote wiring can carry 28, 110, or 220 V AC, and can harm the timer electronics if touched to the digital circuitry.

It sounds like your 1A timer has parameter 10 set to 1. This locks out the timer from stand-alone operation.

Things to check:
#1) Make sure the comms cable is connected between the Manager and all beds.
#2) Make sure the comms chips are installed in the correct orientation.
#) Remove power from the timer that was damaged, and reboot the Manager, it might see the remaining beds.

We do have after-hours and weekend support. If no-one is in the office, the phone system will direct you to a cell phone number that is manned by one of our technicians.
