Hi all,

I’m trying to make things easier between Helios and QuickBooks. Is there any way to get data out of Helios? I've tried the print to file when doing reports but that still sends it to a printer. Is there any type of export I'm missing in Helios or am I missing something with the print to file? Not looking forward to going to the database directly for this info. Anyone have advice on this?
Thank you

I don't think that there is anyway to "share" info directly (import/export) between Helios and Quickbooks. I believe info from one would have to entered manually into the other. Reports from Helios 9.4 can be saved (printed) to files although I'm not sure that means into a program such as Quickbooks in a manner that would make the necessary entries.

That's mostly my question. When I try to print to file the only options I have are printers. How do I get Helios to actually print to a file?

To print to a file, you need to configure a Printer in Windows that Prints to a File and then select that printer as the File Printer within Helios.

Likely easier to simply export any report to Excel or Word or whichever format you desire.

But having done that, that does not allow you to import into Quickbooks without significant reformating of the document. Simplier to simply enter the appropriate entry into Quickbooks from your Sales Report.

Helios doesn not provide an interface to any accounting software ... to many variable related to how a user would want that interface.

Andy,
Thank you for the reply! The print to file hit me like a train, I’m wondering if the export to excel is going to be the same thing. I’m just not seeing how to do that in Helios. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Although it will probably be easier to double key everything I still at least want to investigate all my options.

Thank you
Randy

On all print display screen there is an ICON to the right of the Print ICON - EXPORT.

You can select many formats ... some of which are Excel

Of course you need Excel installed on the computer

Since you are here Andy, will 9.4 run correctly in Xp Home?

John, already answered that in another thread - have not tested it.

Do not recommend it.
