Rep Power: 0 | I’m a Health Club Owner with 4 beds (See my gallery). I’m in the process of changing my club to 24/7/365 access with a proximity card system. I am trying to figure out how to run my beds off of the same Prox card system. This is what I have in mind… The customer uses a Prox card to gain entry into the club, let’s say at Midnight. The member then wants to tan so they open the tanning room door which will not be lock by our staff. In order to start the bed the member must close the door and again use their Prox. Card in the room which activates the timer. The member has to set their own time. There will be a contact on the top of door like a security alarm contact that won’t allow Prox card to work unless the door is closed and in the same respect if the door opens while the bed is running it will automatically cut off (Security). With a Prox card set up I can control or oversee that a member can only tan once in a 24 hour period. I found one site that offers this setup Anytime Fitness this is a franchise they use Apex Management software as the backbone. They will not give out any information since this is one of their biggest selling points. My question to you is this; Have you or anyone that you’ve known ever done anything like this? I am sooooo close to figuring it out but I’m stuck. Just think of the possibilities of a hands free setup. Thanks for your help. Steve Total Body Fitness |

Rep Power: 0 | Alabama, I honestly don't think it'll be so shaky with the security setup we're about to install and prox card readers. Please go to http://www.anytimefitness.com/corp/ or http://www.apexmanagement.com/text/svcs/main_svcs.htm I still intend to have normal business hours. We are open now from 4:30am to 9:00 pm. I'm needing installation info if anyone has tried this before. I would not install a system without having 110% check out every angle good or bad. http://www.healthclubdirectory.com/health_club/completeListing/AL/Riverside/8974 |

Rep Power: 0 | So your going let them work out without having staff on hand. I work out at Golds and another gym that is 24hrs. They always have staff on hand. What about the fool that can't bench 500 and can't get it off his chest. What about fool that can't millitary press 300 and dislocates his shoulder. I don't like it. |

Rep Power: 0 | GENIUS, of course that’s a concern. We will offer remote panic buttons that can be worn around the neck. (See my Gallery I will load a picture) With our alarm system if the “Panic” button is pushed it will automatically call and dispatch emergency personnel. The local Police, Fire, and Rescue are less that 2 miles away, most are members. This isn’t a new concept. Thanks for your question, if anyone needs help or has questions please feel free to send me a PM |

Rep Power: 0 | CopperZone, Members would be responsible after normal business hours. When business side opens at 4:30am the employee will clean again as part of daily maintenance routine. We have cleaner and towels in rooms now with towel returns in the lobby, most members already do it anyway "BUT" We will always go directly behind them ourselves. We offer a free hand towel service to Members when working out so they're accustom to the towel returns. We do however use different colored towels for the tanning rooms so they can’t be mixed up. |
