I know I'm not suppose to go backwards but I need help. We went back to 9.40 and everything is great except when trying to map my data path I keep getting an error. I'm doing it the same way I did in win 2000 but helios is stating my mapped data path can't be found.
What do I need to do to get my workstation to read my server's helios data folder.
Thanks
Andy, I understand if you can't help with this problem but does anyone have a network with windows Xp
Thanks in advance.
tommy

Version 9.4 does not install well on Windows XP, even when utilizing the Windows 98 Compatibility wizzard. You will have difficulty getting any of your workstations to recognize the dongle on an XP machine. We always ran one Windows 98 for the dongle address and used XP workstations as clients. Make sure your data folder is shared and run the Multi User setup in Helios and it should recognize a mapped drive. Hope this helps.

Well, just for the record, I installed Helios 9.4 last May on two Windows XP Professional computers and they work together perfectly. It needed no work-arounds. I used Helios tech but they won't do that for you now on 9.4.

About once or twice a week computer freezes up...has to be rebooted...then get message that we don't have the proper hardware to run this program...then demo mode comes up......have to reboot several times to get it to run right. Running version 9.4 on Windows XP professional just like Helios said to...in fact had to buy new computer system after the fact. Anyone have any ideas how to stop this aggrivation??

I installed Verion 9.4 about two years ago and would not get it to work properly. Called Helios support and was told it had to run on Windows XP professional. Had to go buy a new computer system before they would even help me. After that whole ordeal I dropped the support because I could never get answers and just got a computer guy to come in and figure it out. Just wondering if you guys could share your ideas.....Thanks in advance....

I have 9.4 installed on this computer which runs XP Home (Jan. 05), no problem other than the "dongle" not recognizing the operating system. This issue was easily resolved by going to the "dongle" makers website and downloading the proper upgrade.
