Rep Power: 21 | Is there any way of knowing with a particular transaction what the cashier entered for the amount tendered? I know if they print a receipt it will give us that information, but I want to be able to go back and look up this information even if the cashier did not print a receipt. |

Rep Power: 25 | Yes ... from the History Display (F8) you can point at a transaction and F5 reprint the ticket associated with that transaction. BUT ... it will not show the amount originally tendered, only the net method of payment. |

Rep Power: 24 | When you are counting down your drawer and you're short. A person could pocket a $50.00 bill, but if you could see the transactions and there was not a 50 in the drawer you would know it was not a change mistake. |

Rep Power: 25 | I guess it may help identify the number of large bills received ... but if one client gave you a $50 bill and then another gave you a $100 bill, you may use the $50 as change if necessary, so the $50 bill would properly no longer be in the drawer. You could have a policy of not using large bills for change but then the missing $100 from the drawer could be 5 $20. Also if you enter the amount tendered as $100. was that a $100 bill, 2 $50's, 5 $20's. etc Would think individual Cash Drawers with employees responsible for their drawer would maintain the appropriate responsibility. _________________ Andy Thompson Authorized HELIOS Independent Consultant CELL: 317-529-0041 andy@myatso.com[ This Message was edited by: Andy @ MyATSO.ca on 2004-10-20 10:09 ] |

Rep Power: 21 | NYS labor laws say that I cannot ask for or deduct cash shortages from employees. This leaves us in a difficult situation. I for the most part believe they made an honest mistake and often they are as baffled as we are. I was just hoping that they might remember that John Doe actually gave me a $10 and I put in $20 and gave him $10 in change. I just thought that might be helpful. I don't know what a typical salon loses in cash shortages and how they are handled, but I need to stay within the laws. |
