Hello,
I'm thinking about getting the Helios software and need advice on a few matters: 1. Can you connect the T-max timer to the software? 2. If so, can Helios provide data like how many time each unit of bed is turn on or how many minute each unit consuming? 3. Please state your opinion on how well the software regarding to its performance? Thank You. |

2. Yes 3. I haven't installed the latest version, so I can't comment on it. However, the version I have been using for a few years works very well, never had to use their support. |

1. yes 2. yes 3. v10 here still as v11 doesn't work with WindowsSP2, yet... and their technical support is worthless so i personally ended my support a few months back. |

I use Helios 11 and I love it. I was using SalonTouch with the intension of using their WAN version because my wife and I had all the intensions to grow and I wanted to prepare for the growth, so we went with SalonTouch. The biggest issue I had with SalonTouch is beds would go back to dirty after I marked them as clean and the hold up arrow button on the T-Max would not clear a dirty room in SalonTouch. Helios is a little bit of a challenge to work with and get used to, but after you do, it is rock solid and never gives us any issues. Their WAN product I have seen in action and it is very solid. Andy is the best for Helios support. If you have any other questions (Or if you want to buy my version of SalonTouch for $500) let me know.

just to give you an idea of their tech support; here is a reply i received via email when questioning about the XP2 service pack install:
"J.J. not at the moment JJ Johnson Technical Support Supervisor" wow- that's it - thnx for all the helpful information guys! |

my questions was:
"i've recently installed the upgrade XP2 for Windows Pro... my Helios program seems to "freeze" w/ errors now. can you provide me instruction to fix?" they replied: "not at the moment JJ Johnson Technical Support Supervisor" well, thnx for nothing. i should also note that it took 13 days to get a response after a resubmition of my first email 4 days later after not hearing from them. |

i'll also note, that i immediately uninstalled the XP2 service pack and reinstalled my backup DATA files and everything worked... but THEY didn't know that, and for $40/month (x multiple salons) didn't seem to care. which is why i cancelled a while back to begin with. so here's my suggestion for multiple salon owners. get a hack written, go ahead and keep support for 1 of your salons for the updates but use the hack for all other salons.. much cheaper in the long run. you can search for dongle hacks on google and yes, they do work.
