Rep Power: 0 | Don't feel bad I have not backed up since Helios 8. I am still going strong. Just lucky for now. Every once in awhile I think about it. Like when a storm comes. My computer has some sort of bug, (virus) so I can not get on the internet. and the CD rom is not working. All I can do is trust my customers. I'm a small salon. I wish I could help. |

Rep Power: 0 | If you have a zip drive, do the following: Click Start My Computer C Drive Program Files Right click on Helios 11 send to E ZIP250 click on "yes to all" This is how tech support told me how to do it Lee |

Rep Power: 0 | No need to backup your entire hard drive. If it crashed you would reload the entire operating system from your restore CD. Just backup the HeliosXX\data folder. Buy a Zip drive or a USB jump drive and copy these files. I have found that I had to archive a lot of my data so that Helios did not run so slow, so it would be wise to start backing up now! |

Rep Power: 20 | Ok, someone please tell us how to do this. In my last job, we backed up to our hard drive and didn't have the zip. This was a Fur coat/gift store and we had a lot to back up. so if that can be done I know we can do the same with tanning. |

Rep Power: 23 | some computers are built with dual hard drives for just this purpose. still lose data if the salon is flooded or computer is stolen complete. find the Helios11/Data folder on your C Drive. Right-clik and choose Send To and click on the CD drive letter. alternative is to cut/paste the same folder to the CD drive directly. don't forget to copy all release, contract, and picture files, if used to the back-up also. |
