Well first ... WIN 2003 is NOT an approved operating system for Helios POS. Helios have just last week certified Win 2003 SBS ( Small Business Server ) for utilization with the Helios WAN but that is not Helios POS.

Per the Software Maintenance Agreement you signed ... XP Professional or Windows 2000 are the approved OS's for Helios POS.

This the Fingerprint device the NEW Identify Model or the older Verify Model?

I will make sure Helios Tech Support see this post, so they can give us the best advice.

Its the new u.are.u 4000 sensor. When using the drivers that come from Helios, it will just hang on the "starting dphost service" window. And thats where I stand. Wont go past it...

OK ... that is the newer of the old verify model, I believe.

Will need info for Helios if this is possible ... what is the exact operating system that you have?

Running windows Server 2003 Enterprise. Just installed XP pro as a dual boot system. I can now get the fingerprint reader half working. It will register a client or employee, but will not verify for anything (i.e...purchases,clock in..etc..) Helios tells me that it is the wrong fingerprint reader, to correct in configuration. I dont undersatnd why it will register, but not verify. I have entered the serial number as well.....
