Has anyone subscribed to DMX radio using the tanning commercials?
I recently bought it for 1 of our salons. Not here yet, but does it seem to help in education, sales, etc?

The cost depends on the salon, for example I have 8 beds & I'm looking at $1,700.00 for equipment & install. The commercials are made by the lotion manufacturer & designed to educate and target potential sales. There are 3 I know of: AG, CalTan, and Designer Skin. There is a monthly fee of $65 per salon. They quoted me 800.00 for a 30 room salon. And 99 monthly. However I had a local stero place run a stero system through the whole place. It was very costly however the client has the choice of up to ten stations to choose from. We can play cd's, tap into our satelite, or radio. They really enjoy it. Oh so do I when I tan. We get compliments all the time. I would do it over again. However we did have to change some stations to play some music for the older folks since they requested.

Gosh, 99 bucks a month sounds like highway robbery....We've done setups of this kind in grocery stores, and they pay more like 19 a month, but I guess they only get one channel, too...

I used to be affiliated with DMX Music and would not use them, I've tried XM and was not at all impressed. Check out this link for my best choice in music through dish network. I was sent this link from a friend that works there and through it you can get an awesome deal. I don't know how long it will last but I highly recommend it. I think it is some kind of employee discounted program. The dish has done so much better than DMX's dish in bad weather + you get lots of TV channels!
