Is there a way of extracting the e-mail addresses from helios onto a disk so that I could e-mail my customers?

V11 has the ability to do Email Broadcasting from within the application.

What version of Helios are you using?

Just curious if it's broadcasts to ETS first or does it let you specify a mail server other than ETS?

You specify YOUR mail server ... your data in no way moves thru or is monitored by ETS.

You can lock Employees out of Surfing, that should not hold you back from utilizing the advances in Helios V11.

or

with V11 you could take a copy of your data home and do the SmartMail extract for Emailing from home, depending on number of email addresses you may want High Speed connection.

or

using V10 get someone that can help you with Microsoft Access and a COPY of your data to extract the email addresses from your V10 database

or

talk to Helios Tech Support, they have an Utility "EXECMD" that will allow you to enter a query against your Helios Database that will return the contents of a field (ie: email address) you could then copy and paste that into a document, and since you do not have Internet access at the salon ... you will have to take that document to where you do have Internet access and paste the addresses into the desired email ... I strongly suggest you paste those addresses into the BBC field in the email. If you paste them into the TO field all clients will get a list of all addresses ... not likely a good thing.

The V11 Email Broadcasting utilitiy sends an individual email to each email address ... much more professional. Again not wanting your employees to surf should not hold you back from upgrading to V11 and having all the enhancements in Helios available to you, as I said you can block employees from surfing ... I cover this in my Advanced Helios Training.
