My employee said that on two separate occasions yesterday, a SunCapsule VHR customer said the fan shut off during the session. We have a hoop over the fan cage that goes up into the plenum. We installed a whole house fan type of shutter on both our SunCapsules because we were getting hot air back drafts when the roof fan was on. This fan turns on at a certain temperature. I don't know if that fan was on. On both occasions, I noticed that my other Capsule, a Cyclone, was also running.
Does the Capsule fan have a thermal shut off? Could some freaky kind of back pressure cause the fan to stop spinning? The SunCapsule in question is about nine years old. I need to get a handle on this problem quickly. |
