Does anyone make DOS software anymore?

We are seeing the benefits of a computer in the salon, but Windoze is a no-no for us...

Any thoughts?

I just did a search for them, and they still list that version on their website...so, there is hope!

I'm going to contact them by email and see what shakes loose...

Thanks for the input!

Helios is the only right choice right now. I have friends that switched from Helios. And went back.

If any of you have a spray-on booth, there is no better POS program than Tan Track. Besides being the easiest program to use and teach new employees, it is ultra secure. You only let the employee access what you want. They can't even mess with the date.

If you have a spray-on booth, it is the only POS program that tracks the amount of solution you have. No more opening the canister to look and measure.

All this from someone that does not sell their product. I just use it.

How can a program track the liquid level in a 5 gallon jug without having sophisticated electronics?

It's done by calculation. It's figured on how many minutes per session. It's great for those salons that have multiple levels and use different minutes per level. In my case, I do not use timers and therefore use a computation of 5 minutes. we get about 43 tans per gallon or 215 tans per canister. It accounts for each tan and subtracts the appropriate amount from the program. An indicator (looks like a canister) shows the level. I can also see the number of tans I have left before it is time to refill. Makes it easy for me to know when to refill without having to open the canister every few days to see the level. I never run dry.

You'll have to contact Nichesoft for a further explaination of the calculation. I just know it works.

We'll I've tried to get Sunease, and that seems like a waste of time (see other post)...

what is this I'm reading about SunMate? Who makes that? I did a google, but couldn't find them. Perhaps under another name? Any ideas would be appreciated!
