In V12 the wait list will be realtime and interactive.

No plans to change the process within V11

I still say, that if you have a busy salon, and do not have access to two or more networked computers, the appointment book and waiting list features are useless. ~shrug~

The functionality planned for the Wait List within V12 will most likely cause you to rethink that John.

You will have the ability to complete the transaction and place the tanning transaction on a "wait list" (pending Tanning transactions) and with the (a) bed becomes available - arm the timer. ALL from the POS screen without retrieving the client again.

THATS THE PLAN.

Sounds nice Andy, but it really is much easier just to write in down in an appt. book. Personally, I feel that these features are a incentive used for selling the product, but really are not functual in the real world. IMO

You may have a point John on the Appointment book ... but the Wait List is a different thing all together.

The Appointment book has different priorities for different operators.

ETA on V12 ... late 2005 early 2006 ... the initial release ... it will be a slow deployment initially, this being a total rewrite of Helios the BETA environment will be for a significant period of time.

Re: client wait list

Has this function ever been implimented? I just got Helios in May, V 11.5.1 and I'm not sure that this has been added. Looks like that in 05 the plan was to have V12 out that year or 06. Did they just scrap V12?

Re: client wait list

The most recent version of Helios they have sent me is 11.5...still does not appear to have the wait functionality that is described in this chain. Our salon does not take appointments, does not use appointment books and this feature would be very valuable to us. Sooooo...does this functionality exist within Helios now?

Re: client wait list

dawnheine ... as I stated above, there was never any intent to change the way the wait list functions in V11.

They did intend to address it in Centrix (V12) ... you would have to check with Helios as to whether they did or not.
