can't open helios

I set up a second computer at home to get ready for my ver. 11 do do reports at home, still running 9.4 at the salon and home.I just tried to open helio 9.4 at home to back up this weeks work and I get an error
(failed to load control mh3d list from mhlist 32.ocx,your ver.may be out dated)???? ( run time error 372)
And the it closes helios,running xp pro. Has any one had this problem?

I haven't a clue, call Helios Tech Support, that is why you pay the monthly maintenance fees. I am sure they will be able to help you.

did you do an upgrade with the new v11 install... because v11 files are backwards compatible.

On the V11 CD you will find a Upgrade Directory ... in that directory you will find a H9Upgrade directory.

Copy the Helios9 executable you find there to C:\Program Files\Helios9 directory ... that will solve your problem ... some OCX files etc were upgrades in the V11 (and V10) install that are incompatible with V9.4 ... V9.4.5 is the same as V9.4 but compatible with the new OCX etc level.

and by the by ... two other related issues ....

V9.4 Smart Mail utilities with not work when V10 or V11 are installed.

You will get a message suggesting upgrading a report utility when you run any report (twice actually) ... ignore ... just click ok

Andy I stand amazed at your knowlege. Are you one of those guys who can look at anything for 3 minutes and have it figured out or is it just helios that you are a genius at. We appreciate you (:-)

genius ... hardly, I leave that responsibility to my wife and two sons.

after being in or providing service to over 800 salons using Helios, I have see or encountered just about everything (well maybe not everything ... still amazed from time to time).

Thanks Tommy for your kind words, I also appreciate the opporunity to provide service to the many Helios Users that avail themselves of my service beyond these forums.
