I will think about it. You must remember that Pipp has done every thing possible to cripple me and my business. That will be hard to forget. Why should I forget that fact? That may help me spare trouble in the future. Pipp does not and has not ever spent money in support of this board!!! There is another company willing to step up and financially help support TANTALK! Why not allow them to have bandwidth in the technology area? I truely believe they have better technical and financial resources to accomplish what is in the best interest of salon owners. Should I appologize for offering what I personally feel is the best to myself and the tantalk community? I think I'm qualified to make this judgement call. This is what I have lived most of my life doing. ( Computer Science )

I will share more once I return from Germany.

I have nothing against Andy. I like him a lot. It's ETS that's that leaves a bad taste in most people's mouth. I will evaluate all of this once I get home.

Michael, if you wish to align TanTalk with an competitive Software Product to Helios, fair enough. Given your recent decision to withdraw Salon Net, and I assume you are looking for an alternative software to Helios to utilize within your Sandollar Resorts, it would be logical to me for you to promote that alternative Software ... just like Marty and Carol provide a Support Forum for the software of their choice, being SunTouch and SalonTouch in their case.

It is regretful that the over 1,000,000 characters that I have posted on this site will now go for not ... but that is your call.

Giving ETS and Bill Pipp credit for the demise of Salon Net and Solarsoft, is in my opinion giving credit where credit honestly is not due. You need not look that far from home to attribute credit therefore. Lots of chapters to that story, plenty to go around for many.

Is TanTalk to evolve into a marketing vehicle or an information source ... you have every right to make that decision for the future of TanTalk. Readers/Contributors can/with then judge the merit of TanTalk accordingly.

Ufffffdah.... I was not aware that Helios paid for a forum here...

I assumed Andy just went site to site offering help and training.

I understand if you have a different software that you want to promote to the kiddies... but online is here to HELP with ALL ISSUES =- - no just help with a certain bed, or a certain salon towel.... Even with the hard feelings with Bill - - you STILL HAVE a ton of readers that have helios - - - seems sad to cut them off help.

It would seem Mike, that there is room for BOTH - but it is up to you (obviously)... but when weighing in WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR MEMBERS - technical support on helios is more important than the Evil Eye Censor gif....

As far as the personal feelings for Pipp and ETS.... you are human. NEVER forget, NEVER forgive, just move on more the wiser.

The "informational source" crap is nothing more then a lure for drawing in potential clients..salon owners. All site owners including Mike does not do this out of the goodness of his heart...there is definately something to gain. Mike is just innately good at it. His natural ability to lay low, play dumb, and convince us all that he is only in it to better the industry as a whole....has served him well.

We all know I personally do not like the man.. I don't know you and do not have Helios but I do see all sides of this. But I know this ...I would not at any price allow a competitor to leave flyers about their salon in my lobby.
This is what Mike is saying. At least that is what I take away from his comments.
It is not about what the "tantalk posters want or need"..it is who is gonna pay to play on tantalk and its talkees.

wow lets ont rip on andy... them man did help just as we have tried to help each other... he has a buesness and in alot of respects he was probebly hurting it by giving free help on the forum... lets be honest... yes tantalk is a veachle by witch to make money... there is no dobt in my mind... nothing is free and mr chun whould not spend his time maintaining thins site if id didnt... now as far as andy is concerned i found his posts to be quite helpfull and would like to see them put back in some fasion.. we should not rip on andy.. he is a good man... i met him not so long ago and was frankly supprised at his willingness to help... I am also in the computer feild and also see that mr chun has a job to do.. he has to make money off the site or it will be a wast of recources for him... maybe we should all pay a small membership fee.. like 10-15 dollars a year... a small fee for the wealth of data we can exchange with each other... andy thanl you for helping me with my helios issues..

Dan you misunderstood.
I was not ripping on Andy at all. No big secret that I do not like chunn. I also never begrudged anyone the right to make a little ching. As you say not to waste his resources. Some take it too far. I personally believe Chunn does. JMHO

Andy has been helpful to many. I believe the subject was more about why Mike decided to remove the posts. Before he went into a full court whine about how unfair ETS has been to him.
As for paying money to participate...that topic has been debated many times over thru the years of online tanning forums. I doubt that will ever come to pass.

I for one, will never pay a website to censor opinions that do not coinside with the reigning Admin and mods.... as this site has in the past and apparently still does.

You are new to online I understand why you would not understand this fully. Give it time you will see for yourself. All in good time. Chunn has got all the ching he will ever get out of me.
