Hey Andy, I've been removing unused sales codes for Helios v. 9.4. When I print the master inventory report these codes are still on it. Have I been missing something, or should I expect to see these deleted codes on the the report forever? Gonna be a long report after a few more years......

You need to delete both the Sales Code AND the Inventory Code. Go to the Sales Code File, then click over to the inventory tab - search inventory codes, pull up the ones you don't want and then delete again. (Or something like that, Helios isn't on this PC.)

Hope that helps! You defintely have to delete two sets of codes!

love, alarris

I also noticed that if I try to reuse a code that has already been "deleted" the information from the old code will reappear in the inventory adjustment area. I tried what you suggested. First I had to enter the code that I wanted to delete, doing it as if for the first time. Then if I deleted in both the inventory and financial area, and "poof" it was gone. I don't know if that is the easiest way, but it works. Thanks again.

Thats the trick alright.

When you are deleting a Sales Code (that sells the product) for a product you will also have an Inventory Code (that stocks the product) that most like exists as well.

In future, bring up the sales code ... click over to the Inventory Tab if it is appropriate to Delete it as well ... DO THAT FIRST ... so F6 on the Inventory Tab ... it will confirm deletion of the "INVENTORY CODE" ... now click back to Financial and delete the Sales Code.

On the one that you already deleted the sales code ... a little more awkward ... and just like Alarris described above ... go to the Inventory Tab ... press F11 and find the ones you need to delete ... there you go ....

John, you do not need to put the Sales Code back in to delete the Inventory Code ... but that will work ... just more work.

Blank Sales Code Maintenance Screen ... no item up ... go to the Inventory Tab ... F11 on the INVENTORY TAB and you will see all the Inventory item (codes) this is a different table from the Sales Code ... Sales Code sell ... Inventory codes stock ... and it is the link in Inventory Item 1 on the operations tab of the Sales code that tells Helios when Inventory code to deplete the stock from then a Sales Code sells a product.

You can delete Inventory Codes individually directly from the Inventory table.

I didn't confirm it, however, I believe once you delete a code in the inventory tab, the history is gone. Thanks to the both of you!
