Andy do you know if they fixed so that if we sold multiple qty of a product we could hit F8 for qty instead of entering each one individually and still get the proper cost of goods sold at the end of the day?

When we sell a box of protein bars with 15 bars in it it is annoying.

Hi Joe ... MAJOR topic of conversation on Tuesday when I was in the Helios Office.

The fields necessary for proper Average Costing are being added to the system in both the Transaction File and Inventory table.

I am writing a document outlining the appropriate action that should be taken regarding Cost of Goods and Average costing and will forward same to the Development team ....

THIS WILL BE ADDRESSED in V11 ... maybe not in the first release of V11 but soon.

Also asked for additional analysis fields for reporting of inventory ... GROUP and TYPE

Vendor Part #, more Vendor info fields, both Last Cost and Average Cost fields.

I have a number of Clients / Helios Users like yourself whose need for Inventory reporting and management needs to be addressed.

I have one client that has over 2000 SKU ... Giftware and clothing in addition to the tanning related products.

Your Nutritional products etc fall into this category as well.

Regarding the Qty issue ... had to test that to be sure ... it is fixed.

The costing of same is based on Last/Current cost .... just need to correct the handling of Average Cost for Cost of Goods.

So, if I get you right, when I sell 15 bars, use qty 15, on the cost of goods it will show as $15.00 not $1.00? But that is based on the last entered cost.

Correct .... the qty issued on COG is fixed in V10 and V11 ... using the last cost entered on the Inventory tab above Retail Price.

The concept of Average Cost, needs more work.
