V10 included the ability to access and run all the Helios reports via an Internet connection ... so regardless of where you are (except of course North Korea) you can access your Helios Reports.
NOW (soon) with Version 11 ... you will also be able to perform some BACK OFFICE functions REMOTELY via the same Internet connections. The Client Profile (and EFT record) can be edited. Sales Code (YES Sales Code) can be edited !!!!!! and much more !!!! |

First release should be before the end of November .... BUT CAUTION ... the WAN component of V11 will follow shortly thereafter.
This will give you a chance to review before upgrading to same. Definition of shortly on V11 WAN update ... unofficial ... my take on it ... early 2004 |

I just set up Helios Web Reports on my V10.2 Test/Demo system.
The above instructions worked like a charm. If anyone wants to take a look ... send me an email and if I am in the office, I will arrange a look see on my demo system for you. Point of clarification ... the BackOffice Maintenance functions are now available in V10.2, they include the ability to edit (and add when appropriate) the following: 1. Transactions 2. Sales Codes 3. Client Profile ... Personal, More Info and EFT data 4. System Default Settings 6. Time Clock records _________________ Andy Thompson Authorized HELIOS Independent Consultant 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Desk[ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2003-11-25 15:51 ] |

Editing sales codes!! Thank you!
Will you be changing the way the program sells, tans, then ends sale? I want to end sale without closing customer, so that you can enter the tan afterwards.(The current suspend option is not user friendly) I want to be able to pull up customers that have not tanned in the last year, or by whatever other criteria I choose. I would like to see the comment area visable on the main page. Some of my employees click through it so fast that they don't see the comments that I have entered. There is more, but that would be a great start! |

Helios Development is looking at modifying the Tan Transaction / End Sale routine to delay the arming of the Bed thru the Timer Manager until the Sales is Ended.
They are also looking at the possibility ... now don't get overly excited here, this one is just on the Wish List at this point ... creating a queue of pending Tanning transactions ... dealing with the concept of allocating a client to a bed in Pending Status, while it is in use by another client, thus completing the Payment portion of the transaction ... and then being able to quickly transfer an item from Pending to arming the bed when available. Since in the majority of cases clearing the client at F5-End Sale is logical, I doubt that not closing the customer at End Sale would be a positive change ... BUT ... maybe a Alt-F2 could bring up the last customer served ... hey, Helios Development how about that. The current suspend option simply allows you to defer completion of a transaction that has not yet had a tanning transaction entered, to allow another client to be handled. Once a tanning transaction is entered, you must complete the sale before going on to the next client thus avoiding undesirable utilization of the Timer Delay, remember it is already counting down. The current F5-F9 (Suspend) also only allows a transaction to be suspend once, so that a partially completed transaction can not be somewhat permanently suspend by an employee. Helios Development is currently in search of a Custom Report Writer that will allow Users to easily create Adhoc Reports such as listing Customers that have not tanned from a given date. With V11 you can selection what appears in the "Activity" area below the Current Session POS area. This selection, Activity, Summary, EFT Info, Comments, Checkin, Forumlas (Services) stays displayed from client to client until you select another option. So Comments could be choosen if that is more desirable than Activity (Recent History). Comments also in a future update of V11 will become Transactional in nature, meaning you will be able to have multiple comment record for a client, with individual display interrupts and I am hoping recall date ability. SSTan, the Backoffice functions for remotely editing Sales Codes is fantastic ... there you are in that exotic place and you want to modify/add a Sales Code ... connect via the Internet to your location and have at it. Want to see it, give me a call ... if I am in the office, I will give you access to my demo system for a few minutes quick tour. _________________ Andy Thompson Authorized HELIOS Independent Consultant 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Desk[ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2003-11-26 02:54 ] |
