We recently opened w/all new equipment yet repeatedly hear the same complaint--"I dont think I am getting very much color." Our booths are all 48 bulb ten-minute max units. Each of them are receiving 224-226 post buck booster. How much difference will our clients notice if we try to get the units to 230. Beyond that the only solution we can imagine is the possibility of reconfiguring the timer to allow a 12 min tanning period. Any thoughts or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Are they saying that after only one visit or over time? Because it takes at least three to five visits to see color. They have to be patient. Also, are they tanning once a week or every other day? Ask them what lotion they using. Opens the door for a lotion sale if they are not using any. There are a lot of questions you can ask.

For the most part our clients are telling us this after multiple visits. Also, from a base of approx. 250 clients over 85% of them tan regularly at the full 10 min. max time. The bulbs are Original Sun Flagship R Plus(VHO)[we followed some poor advise when switching from the Speed 325VS-R]. We have to believe the problem lies somewhere between voltage and bulb quality.

Try some other lamps. The Original Suns I bought measure lower in total output by about 25% to LS Signature Series which is what the Original Suns are supposed to be. They ain't. How did the Speed 325VS-Rs do? You could try the Sig Series plus or Rio SHR+. Both have sufficient thrust for a 10 minute session.
