Over the last few months, I have encountered a number of salons with Mystic Booths, TMax Timer Manager using Helios.
I now understand how to automate the interfacing ... well in part at least ... if anyone has more or better info ... please join in. Apparently there is a special chip that either comes with or can be acquired for use with a Mystic Booth and TMax ... I am honestly not sure it that chip goes in the Mystic booth or on a T3A in the room connected to the Mystic booth (Applied Digital can you clarify). This chip converts 3 different times communicated thru the Timer either manually or from software (ie: Helios) to the 3 appropriate levels of spray. Tan Time of 11 minutes ... Level 1 ... 24 seconds of operation Tan Time of 12 minutes ... Level 2 ... 27 seconds of operation Tan Time of 13 minutes ... Level 3 ... 36 seconds of operation The Start Delay is not relevant since the client controls the starting of the sprayer from inside the booth with the start button when ready. So, in Helios set the room up with a Maximum Tan Time of 13 minutes ... normal Location Code for the channel/room it is programmed to on the TMax. Your Tanning Use Sales Code(s) in Helios could either be set to a Tan Time of 13 variable or set up 3 separate Tanning Use codes with Constant Tan Time of 11, 12 and 13 respectively. The client I am currently helping with this (the source of the above info) is using 3 seperate tan sales code Level 1 and 2 included as a normal Mystic Session, while Level 3 will involve an additional upgrade charge above the normal session costs. Hope this helps ... _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2003-02-04 21:53 ] |

Andy,
The Mystic Tan timer is a special timer for Mystic. There are two boards, a power board and display board. The display board looks just like a T-Max 3A but it is only a display board (even if it has a T-Max 3A decal). If you look at the circuit board you will see it is mostly not populated. The timer is the power board in the black box in the back of the Mystic Tan booth. That is where the daisy chian gets connected and where the chip you refer to resides. Andy-
How would you differentiate between the packages - if you sell Mystic Tan in packages of Level 2 OR Level 3? (We can put the appropriate amount on the screen, but when it comes time to set the bed - how would you know?) We charge an upgrade to go in the Level 3, if the client does not already have Level 3 packages - right now we get around it by doing a lot manually (ringing in prepaid dollars, discounting, etc.) Is there an easier way? Thanks! -alarris |
