Rep Power: 0 | Go to www.gosolarsoft.com Salon Net is quite useful. I’ve had a salon hard drive die and there had been no good back up for days. I was able to rebuild the *.mdb’s from the Salon Net Server saving the databases, and tons of time reentering information from dailies. Salon Net has also saved me a lot of stress and heartache. I will not recommend Helios 10 it’s scary. Solarsoft is dedicated to making their system better regularly, Helios had annoying easy to fix errors for years and no patch or anything, just “wait for v10”. I made a batch file to fix the Helios v9.4 new install issue. If this is what they had us waiting for I’m scared. When will they fix the mess they have created now, v11 in a few years. |

Rep Power: 25 | Thanks Poohberry for your kind words ... we are pleased that Salon Net is serving you well. FREE ... careful Teresa, often things are worth what you pay for them ... and sometimes FREE can even be too much ... remember V10 released over ONE YEAR late and they cannot even balance a Shift Report ... HELIOS WAN, right ... who do you trust ... but back to the point ... Quote: 11. Shift Report ... click Data is reflected by Cashier with limited total information provided. The amounts reported by Cashier are Left Aligned and less readable than if they are Right Aligned as in V9. With a Report Printer defined in System Preferences ... Total Revenue is called Credit Card. Now this is STRANGE, with no Printer defined the line description is correct, a difference font is used and percentages appear beside Total Product Sales and Total Service Sales. Total Sales is not the sum of Total Product and Total Service ... Total Miscellaneous, PrePaid and Gift Certificate Sales are included in Total Sales but not itemized above. Bonus Bucks EARNED are reported in the Non-Revenue in error. Total Customer appears to be a transaction count, not sure of the purpose. Total Discount is info only and not used in balancing. The amount of the Beginning Balance is displayed twice in error. The Amount of Paidout is displayed twice and handled three times in error in calculating the amount of the Over/Under is then of course is inaccurate. Assumed Revenue is inaccurate. Gift Certificate Change is improperly handed (should reflect a negative impact on Prepaid Dollars with the entire value of the Gift Certificate being recorded as Gift Certificate) and it is not identified by the Cashier that processed the transaction. We are very proud of the reliability and functionality of the Solarsoft family of products. It would be my pleasure to review our approach and success with anyone that has interest and/or questions regarding Salon Net (multi location) or Salon Wizard (single location). We will shortly have Salon Net functional with Helios V10 POS as well ... well before Helios is likely to had addressed the significant (and for the most part EASY to FIX) issues that remain unsolved (despite most of them having been reported to them in March and July 2002) in its operation and reporting. _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2002-12-07 09:59 ] |
