Rep Power: 25 | Dan, with all Memberships in Helios -- when you sell a Membership good for a given number of days -- Helios in fact creates that Membership with the given number of days AFTER today. So when you void the transaction it subtracts the number of days BUT unfortunately still leaves it valid for today (if the Membership Name already existed on the client) ... now do not shot the messenger. Help me understand why you want to sell an 1 day Membership versus a Single Session to the client. You can correct it via Master Edit or an Adjust Sales Code with the Membership Variable set to Variable and enter yesterday as the expiry date when prompted during sale. _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2002-11-08 11:24 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | This does of course bring up again the issue that I have outlined before: If you are selling a Membership for 30 days and put "30" in the Days Valid field in the Membership Variable area on the Pkg/Memb Tab ... the client will receive 30 days AFTER today. So if it is to include TODAY, make it 29. Same and even more important if you are selling 7 day or 14 day memberships ... make it 6 or 13 to include today. Hope this helps ... _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2002-11-08 11:25 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | Correct ... if the client already had the Membership type being sold previously, regardless if it has expired. If it is a NEW membership being sold to a client and the sales transaction is then voided, Helios will remove reference to that Membership BUT if the Membership had an earlier start date then the current transaction is voided and those days removed the way Helios handles the days being added and subtracted you are TOTAL CORRECT ... those steps will leave a preexisting membership VALID and usable today. |

Rep Power: 25 | I have never understood or received a logical explanation from Tony or anyone else at Helios why they do it this way ... I discussed it with Tony again in March 2002 during my last visit ... he advised that it had been / will be changed ... but according to my testing it remains unchanged. If a client is purchasing a membership if is logical to me they will use it ... if not Flex Start covers the situation for a client buy a New Membership prior to departing after tanning. |
