Rep Power: 23 | Andy, We are interested in a "Buy Me, Tan for Free" promotion in our salon. Is there a "easy" method in Helios that would allow you to setup this type of a feature in the sales code for any lotion, allowing a client to tan in a certain bed (example, 2 tans in a High Pressure, or (3) tan in a 20 minute). |

Rep Power: 25 | Up until that ... "or" ... yes easy, easy to do... On the Sales Code for the appropriate Lotion, go to the Pkg/Memb Screen and in the Amount Add column put the appropriate Sessions in the appropriate accumulator. So when you sell this lotion the "2" sessions will be added to the appropriate accumulators and you just use your normal tanning code to allow the client to "use" those sessions. When your promotion is over, just remove the "2" on the Pkg/Memb screen. Now the "or" .... ... a second sales code for the same lotion, linked to the same inventory item but with a different impact on the Pkg/Memb tab ... when this sale is over put an Expiry Date in this Sales Code ... up top beside Sales Code and Description ... OR, just delete this now unnecessary sales code ... CAUTION ... by deleting it you will lose the ability to report on that Sales Code in certain Sales Reports. ... make the impact to the Accumulator(s) on the Pkg/Memb Tab "V" Variable rather than "C" Constant and the Cashier can enter which you wish to give, entering 0 on the other ... you can put the upper limit in the Amount Add field(s) ... MAJOR SECURITY HOLE ... you just created here with this final approach ... NOT RECOMMENDED but possible. _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2002-09-27 10:43 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | Do you sell your HP and base beds under different packages???? If you sell them as the same and just takes more for HP, then it would work easily. I have a promo going on right now.....buy and lotion $40 or more and for $20 more make it a "bag deal"...the "bag deal sales code" subtracts the moisturizer & lip balm from the inventory and adds the 100 minutes that they get for the "bag deal" promo. Helios can do so many things if you want to be creative.....(listening to Andy helps to ) |

Rep Power: 25 | Good point Teresa (I mean the bag deal part not the listening to me part ... lol), and Kent I do not think we have ever actually talked about the fact that Teresa raises above. You can create a Sales Code (a little kit or special deal) that when sold removes TWO inventory items from stock. One linked in Inventory Item 1 and the second linked in Inventory Item 2. Now, if only .... Helios allowed you to specify the Qty of that/those Inventory item(s) to be removed with a Sales Code ... you would have the ability for Quantity Pricing ... more applicable to the Fitness Industry with Nutritional Supplements etc ... just one more of these wish list thingys. _________________ Andy Thompson ACT Business Solutions Toll-Free 877-777-6717 andy@atso.ca ACT Help Center [ This Message was edited by: Andy @ ATSO.ca on 2002-09-27 11:17 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | This code actually does 3 things--- subtracts 2 inventory items and adds 100 bed minutes. I know this doesn't track the minutes under services for reporting purposes but they are basically "give aways" but it makes it SSSOOOO easy for employees. |
