Andy,
Just got my new dongle in the mail today. It has a sticker on it that says
**WARNING**
$895 IF LOST!!!
Needless to say I called them right away, they said if I lose it and need a new one it would be $895. I told them I thought I had paid for it when I paid the $25 charge, they said no that's a depost you get back when you return it. Have you ever heard of this? Or is it new policy?

Rep Power: 25 Andy has a spectacular aura about Andy has a spectacular aura about
Lee, that is not a new policy.

The $25. fee (deposit), as I understand it, relates to the production cost of the dongle.

The $895. relates to ensuring you understand that it has value, not the value of the dongle but rather the value of a copy of Helios ... this relates to the former License Fee of a copy of Helios. Too easy for someone to just call in to Helios and say OH OH I lost my dongle, they send another and that someone uses it in a second location, and avoiding paying the Software Maintenance Fee for that second location.

Please do not misunderstand ... I am not suggesting YOU would do that, but someone could.

Should not be an issue, how is it going to "get lost" connected to your computer.
