Smart Mail - tanTALK

I don't know my way around all of the Helios software yet. I need to take a class I think!

Anyway I am wanting to put together a postcard mailing and I'm not exactly sure what all of the options mean. I want to target some people that we haven't seen in a few months time but I don't exactly know what are the best criteria to choose.
Please help!

Sorry Angie - I missed this post.

Assuming you are using Helios V9.4 - go into the Smart Mail module on the top Menu Bar to the left of Help and Window - then Open Smart Mail Wizard.

You initially want to "Create SmartMail Database".

You will then be provided with a selection screen to select many different elements of the Helios Client Database "Add" on a desired highlighted element and then enter the appropriate criteria for selection of the desired clients.

When you have selected all the desired criteria you can then Generate the SmartMail database.

Once generated go to Reports - Marketing Labels - SmartMail and print the labels on the desired form.

You can use the SmartMail module to create different SmartMail Databases for printing labels as desired.

NOTE: V10 will not (as last advised by Tony) have a SmartMail Wizard, but the printing of Client Labels (in 10.0.45) had been enhanced to provide some of the SmartMail selection criteria.

NOTE: if you installed V10.0.45 on your system and are therefore running V9.4.5 - the SmartMail Wizard will not operate. You will need to make a backup of your Helios Database and restore it onto a system running V9.4 in order to use the SmartMail Wizard.

FYI - if you are using the SmartMail database that is created by the Smart Mail Wizard (smail.mdb in the Data Directory), you will be asked for a password.

Tony at Helios has advised that this password is: John316

Note: it is case-sensitive.
