HI I HAVE FST BUT NOTICE WHEN I GO OUT OF TOWN AND CHECK OUT OTHER SALONS ALOT USE HELIOS SO WAS THINKING OF CHANGE BUT AFTER READING ALL THIS I AM HAPPY RIGHT WHERE I AM THOUGHT I WAS MISSING THE BOAT ON SOMETHING BUT I THINK I HAVE BEEN SAILING ALONG JUST FINE THANKS TO THIS SITE I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ~ PEACE OUT JANA

Just to clarify ... in the last 4 months Helios have be able to get V10 to a point of stability equal in my opinion to V9.

One exception ... although the reports are now for the most part accurate, the format and readability still leaves much to be desired.

Another exception ... the V10 POS screen still leaves much to be desired compared to V9 ... and this is not just one man's opinion.

Sunease from FST is a fine basic program ... Helios does provide more controls and more reporting ... you need to decide what is best for your business.

I actually just sent for version 10 upgrade and dongle. I was going to try it at home 1st (but 1st uprading home to XP Pro) I am currently still running 9.4 at salon. Andy, do you think that now version 10 is reliable enough that I would be safe upgrading?

I believe the operation of V10 is now basically as stable as V9.4 ... with the exception of the appearance of reports and the POS screen.

V10 is more compatible with XP Pro than V9.4

You approach of upgrading at home first is a good approach. If you also wish to continue using V9.4 at home, after you install V10 ... you will need to the copy the V9.4.5 executable from the Upgrade directory on the V10 CD.
