Andy,

I came up with a code to upgrade from an old EFT to a new one (more expensive). I did this much like the original EFT code except I put in the new m-ship type as bought and the old one as used and the EFT action is "upgrade". Now Helios does fine on prorating the difference owed between the two and it's quite slick. But Helios ignores the flat $5 fee I want to charge (put under price, default). Can't get the $5 to be in my total, not with the payment type as prorated or constant.

That's odd because Helios gives me the correct total of the prorated monthly fee AND the flat enrollemnt fee when I sell an EFT. Why won't it do it when the EFT choice is Upgrade/downgrade?

Also, I wonder if Helios is going to change the smart mail list (under management reports) to alphabetical-last name in V10? The alphabetical FIRST name style is an odd choice. I waste lots on time on this report finding people.

I will do some testing on the Upgrade question and post again.

On the Smart Mail question - what I saw at the end of March - the Smart Mail extract is gone!!!

There was a label report program that had selection criteria similar (but I believe less options) to PRINT labels - but no extract to a database file.

I can not remember the selection options related to Name(s).

Right you are Gene, but you already know that.

For whatever reason the Default Price is ignored. Be it a bug or intentional it is ignored.

I can suggest, am sure you already have thought of this or have done it - but - set up a separate sales code to just charge the $5. Upgrade Fee.

Thanks for taking the time. Testing out EFT codes at the shop is vexing because Helios doesn't allow you to void any of the stuff so it's lots of master editing and such to get rid of them.

I already have a separate code to add in beginning points. (I went to an EFT monthly points allotment model). I could find no way with my one code to load in prorated points to start them off. Heck, I'll just drop the $5.

I wonder what dropping the smart mail means? It's no secret that other vendors can process the extraction so that may have something to do with it.
