Rep Power: 0 | Is it an optical or mechanical mouse? (a mechanical mouse has a little ball on the underside, while an optical has a LED that shines downwards. I have seen a mechanical mouse that had an LED in it to make it look like an optical mouse, so make sure) If it is a mechanical mouse, then it has a dirty ball or dirty rollers. Take the panel where the ball is off and clean the rollers that you see in that compartment. A q-tip or tissue will do. Unless your mouse ball is really dirty, don't clean it as solvents can harden the rubber and cause similar problems. Make sure you have a clean mousepad underneath the mouse to keep from having to clean it too often. After you have cleaned your mouse, then go out and buy an optical mouse! They cost $20 and you don't have to worry about cleaning them. Every salon should have a spare mouse or two, so buy a new optical mouse and make the old one your spare. |

Rep Power: 28 | Thanks John. I have the ball type. I have taken it apart and cleaned the ball but never new there were rollers in there. I will try that. Yes I do want the infra type mouse along with a flat screen. Thank you again for the tips. |
