As you probably well remember, we changed computers in the salon a couple of months ago.
Well, we took over a second salon on Friday. There is currently a computer there. Adnet 2000 is loaded on it and it is connected to a TMAX Manager Pro. We are having to use Adnet to set the timers, and cards to write customer info on. So, here's the question, would it be easier for me to take the old computer from the first salon and connect that in the new salon? Or, would it be easier to install Helios on the current computer and override Adnet? Thanks in advance for your help. You are always a lifesaver! |

Just to verify, you will need a second authorized copy of Helios for the second location (with the related Dongle) in either case.
I assume that the second salon was not already using Helios, since it was using Adnet to control the beds. Either approach will be fine, really depends which is the better system to use. You should find either approach equally straight-forward. If you feel you would like assistance getting Helios up and operating quickly at your second location, I would be pleased to be of service. Check out my Off-Site Set up service outlined on my ACT Website. I am also interested if you have a need and/or desire to connect your two locations to allow client to use your packages and/or membership at either location. Salon Net from Solarsoft provides that ability and MUCH more. If interested please give me a call |

Absolutely no problem.
Adnet is a very straight-forward utilities program for monitoring and controlling the beds remotely from the TMax Manager. Many of my clients have it loaded on there systems as well as Helios, for use in case Helios for any reason is not operational. I have never actually tried to have both Helios and Adnet running at the same time, logic would say this is NOT Possible because they would both be trying to control the COM Port to which the TMax is connected. Regardless having the Adnet program on the computer in case of emergency - No Problem. All the best, hope this helps |
