Since we have expanded this forum to the discussion of computer technology I'm curious what software you use and what is you favorite features?

I use Suntouch plus..
i like the ease.. in using as well as training..The new employees catch on quick.. my fav feature is the reports!! i have to know.. to the "T"
The # of clients active.. monthly, YTD compared to last year.. and so on..
MY new fav is the report under activity in the business section.. the employee summary report.
This helps a great deal in calulating LPPA.

What about it makes it easy? Is it just the screen layout, or the logic flow you have to go through to use it? For example, how many steps (keystrokes and/or mouseclicks) does it take to put someone on a bed or make a sale? How long does this process take?

I'm interested in hearing about specific points of joy and hate with everyones software. What would you want fixed or improved and exactally what would you want to stay the same

We are planning on using Helios 9.4 in our new salon (if the architect delays continue we may be using Version 10).

I like the features of Helios, the reporting tools (Salon Wizard), and the large amount of users online that can assist with the questions that I am sure will come up from time to time without getting "technical support" involved. I'm a techno geek so we will be using thumbprint and client photos for authentication and backing up the system to an External DLT tape drive every night.

I plan on installing the system in the salon on the Internet behind a firewall and running reports from my home system while connected to the salon, especially during the busy season.

I currently use Helios. I would like to see more options for those of us in regulated states. I would like an interactive skin typing form like that on www.naatso.org included in my software. I would like to use this to help educate clients instead of just handing them a form to fill out.

I would also like a place to track meter readings and QUAT testing totals.

Check out TanTrack if you haven't. Our software does track UV meter readings!

when is the EFT update coming out? Do you have a date yet?

We don't have an exact date but we are shooting before the end of 2004. We are still testing the functionality at this time to make sure that the automatic EFT processing goes very smoothly.
