Rep Power: 0 | Tantrack - Backup problem Hi guys, I'm new here and was wondering if there was something I need to setup in order to backup my data. I have 3.0 and when I go to back it up it has me pick a location to backup too, says it will take a minute, then says it can't backup and to make sure that the destination is not write protected and I have permissions - or words to that effect. The destination is not write protected and I'm the admin. I don't have the support plan or I'd call them. Also my help file says its a demo or something like that and only gives me the first 15 items in help. Any ideas about this one? |

Do you have 3.0, and if you do is there something you need to "set" in the software to correct the error message I discribed in my first post? I don't think you have the answer, so if anyone else can answer this I would appreciate it greatly. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Tantrack - Backup problem I believe this was a glitch and an update has been put out(3.0 updates automatically I think) You would of course have to have a current tech support contract with them. It was only $200 if you renewed in that first month. Well worth it IMHO It amazes me that people are too cheap to get support for a POS that RUNS THEIR ENTIRE BUSINESS Baffling for $200 |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Tantrack - Backup problem I do have 3.0 and there's nothing that has to be set in the program in order for you to not get an error message in backing up. I'm not looking for a confrontation, just making sure that you've covered all the bases. I also do have the "support" with them, as I did have problems. That's all; maybe someone else will chime in and can help you. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Tantrack - Backup problem Shane, I'll have to check about that. According to tech support (when I had it) said I would get all "bug" fixes whether I had the support plan or not. With support tech said I would also get any feature upgrades for free. Thanks That being said, I'm not being cheap since the bug fixes I'll get regardless of having the support plan. The software itself is pretty straight forward, and feature upgrades are not a big deal till I decide to upgrade to the next version that is worthwhile in a few years, maybe. Parrot Head, thanks for the info. |
