Rep Power: 23 | This isn't really a Helios problem. But it affected Helios so I am hoping you can help. At some point yesterday we had an operator error and the date on the computer was changed from 3/20 to 3/21. So pretty much everyone that tanned yesterday tanned under today's date. Is there any possible way to fix this so when they come in today we don't run into any problems? |

Chippp is correct. Helios version 9 will lock you out if you do that. We are in the process of upgrading all of our stores to Windows XP. We have already upgraded three of them with XP and all new computers. With windows XP you can create a limited account for the employees to use. I remove the display of the clock and XP will NOT allow a limited user to change the clock. They also cannot install new programs. I have IE6 set to restrict them from looking at any website except for our corporate website ( corp.sandollar-resorts.com ) and our ticket tracking system. They will be allowed to view TanTalk once seasons close to a close. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Michael, You big meanie, you took the web and hotmail way form your staff. Tangirl, I would agree with everyone else, if helios is running for you, just deal with the fact that you have two day revenue under one date. |

Rep Power: 25 | On the date issue: If as Tangirl described the computer was moved forward one day Helios would not lock up. Transactions early in the day dated the 20th and then the balance dated the 21st - No Lock up. If Tangirl then found the problem at the end of the day and corrected the date back to the 20th AND PROCESSED NO FURTHER TRANSACTIONS - again no problem (except these transactions are dated the 21st and should be the 20th - I will come back to that). If Tangirl attempted to do a transaction for the 20th after transactions dated the 21st had been record PROBLEM - the Date Security Feature would not have allowed this. OK Tangirl the solution . I would believe that at this point you have additional transactions dated the 21st for today that are correct and you have a bunch of transactions dated the 21st that should be dated the 20th. THE FIX - two options: Option 1: as Chippp stated "Leave way enough alone" only problem here is that sales for the 20th and 21st are "combined" Option 2: a little more work but not impossible Go into "View" "System Files" "Transactions" with the appropriate password granting access to this Transaction file and display the transactions for the 21st - Match Exactly One by one double click on each of the transactions that were dated the 21st that should have been dated the 20th and change the date to the 20th The Date field is in the second column, third field down change 03/21/2002 to 03/20/2002 and SAVE the Transaction. Back on the list display of transactions the transaction just fixed will no longer display because it has be changed to the 20th and is no longer "Match Exactly" to the 21st. OK on to the next one that needs to be fixed. BE CAREFUL NOT to change the transactions dated the 21st that truly are for the 21st. The ones that need to be change will all be in order and before the transactions that are truly for the 21st. Hope this helps |
