I just printed out an entire client list for my company and all of the birthday's printed out as 12/30/99.
I have each customers birthday entered correctly. All the other feilds ( last name, first name, client number, address, city, zip home and work numbers) are correct. What is the problem? Thank you |

I just tried the same report on my test data and you are correct. 12/30/99 in the BDay field on all clients listed on the Client List report.
I will forward this information to Helios Technical Support. |

Manager of Tech Support at Helios advise that this report problem is fixed in the new V10 reports.
and before you ask, once a Software Developer like Helios starts working on a new version (like V10) of their Software - the current version (V9.4) remains unchanged, until that new version is released. |

Chippp
The only thing close that I could recreate in my testing was that if you enter a single letter in each of the from / to range ( a thru z ) then it did not print the last customer starting with Z but it did print all other. Using two or more Z's in to to field included all clients. If you leave the range fields blank - it will assume you want all clients listed. |

The most recent "best estimate" that I have heard is "likely a couple more months".
Folks - BELIEVE ME - we do not want Version 10 before it is ready. The last info that I was given advised that Version 10 will have the following structural changes: 1. Moving from Access 97 to Access 2000 2. Separate Database Files for Employees/Passwords and also for Sales Codes, both being moved out of Helios.mdb (this will be a BIGGIE - thinks of all the places in Helios that would access Employees / Security / Sales Codes) 3. Entirely new Reports - redesigned and rewritten Now this data is 5 months old, and maybe with the delay from last November the Version 10 beast will be the same as shown at Nashville and MAYBE it will be MORE or different. I do not know - during the last 2 months to only comment I get re V10 is "NO COMMENT, watch the website for an announcement". My money is on the Vegas 2002 show. Look for it then, why not get as much bang for your buck out of a new release. V9.4 has a few issues sure, but V9 has been one of the very best releases based on my experience - anyone remember the early days of V8. I also am looking forward to V10 for many reasons - but my advise to my clients is "Do not be a pioneer, slow and steady", test it well apart from your live system before converting (once it is available). All the very best, and as a friend would say "May our bulbs burn long and bright". Best wishes for an excellent season. |
