Finger Print Device

I have two machines that I'm having trouble installing the Thumb Print Device on. I successfully installed them on 4 other machines.

When I go to register a finger print I get the following error:

Run-Time Error '-2146893802(80090016)'
Automation Error

and then Helios crashes.

I'm guessing it's a driver problem. I uninstalled the driver and re-installed but same problem. All machines are running IE6.0
and Win98

michael,

have you tried different fingerprint scanners? that's probably not the problem, but you never know.

are you using the latest version of the URU driver? the Helios 9.4 CD will have it on it for sure.

will these finger scanners work on other machines alright? i would try that to see.

try un-installing Helios and the biometric drivers and then re-installing the biometric drivers.
