Rep Power: 25 Ginger is on a distinguished road
On all my beds the Manager shows the 2 dots that the bed is off & hasn't been clean. When it's clean, we set the Manager to 0 so we'll know which beds are clean & ready & which one's aren't.

My standup in room 1 has to be set on the timer in the bed to 0 instead of on the Manager. Is there a way to change this so we can handle that on the manager like the other beds?

Thanks!
Ginger

Ginger,

You need to enable to clean room function on the timer in the tanning room. This can be done from the T-Max Manager.

At the T-Max Manager, do the following:

Press the Start/Stop buttons under displays 1 and 8 at the same time until the displays change. Release the buttons.

Press the Set button under display 5 until display 5 shows a 1 (because we are enabling the clean room function in room 1).

Press the Set button under display 6 until display 6 shows a 9 (9 is the parameter for clean room).

Press the Start/Stop and Set buttons under display 7 at the same time to make display 7 show a 0. (if display 7 already shows a 0, do nothing).

Press the Start/Stop and Set buttons under display 8 at the same time to make display 8 a 0. Then press the Set button under display 8 once to make display 8 a 1 (if display 8 already shows a 1, do nothing).

So display 5 should show a 1, display 6 should show a 9, display 7 should show a 0 and display 8 should show a 1.

Now press the Start/Stop buttons under display 5 three times. Nothing will happen on the displays and the manager will beep each time the button is pressed.

You clean room is now enabled in room 1. Press the Change displayed beds button (on the lower right corner)on the T-Max Manager. The T-Max Manager will rescan and show you rooms. The next time a session ends, room 1 will show the clean room indication.

That is totally convoluted, if that is how you change setting on that timer you need to totally redesign it.
The times should be computer set up with a program that spells it all out and all you need to do is select how you want want to work.
To press this, till that, them that, while you do this, then next, do something eles? holy cow this the the year 2002, your timer needs a complete redesign.
It sounds like a very confusing mess.
The timer at worst should promt you thought the set up, do you have a microwave over or vcr made in the last few years? see how its done!

Your personal set up should be able to be saved to disk so it you need to replace or reprogram the timers, all you would need to do it run the file.
Flash memory or software setting.

Chippp,
We did redesign the front desk timer..the new unit is called the T-Max Manager Pro.

There are a number of popular computer programs that do exactly as you outline.
(Helios, Suntouch, Breeze are a few)

Just curious... what timing system are you running?

We dont use master timer. we use individual timers at front desk. with the software and computers problems we have had over the last 10 years be firmly beleive in the "KISS" method, "keep it simple stupid".
When you need to repair, replace, its easy if eveything dosent go down, and you know instantly whats broken.
You never know when or how long you will have to go back to paper and the basics.
To problem solve a big chain of equipment is also a nightmare.
We keep everything short simple and just the minimum it takes to get the job done right, plus individual electronic timers are dirt cheap and ours have never in 20 years stopped working. If they ever do break down, they are very cheap to replace, a saving we have been able to pass on to clients.
We track sessions used, to check for theft by staff, with the software and the running time meters on each booth.
The same way we track lamp life hours.
We have never had a timer problem or repair in 20 years, and we dont have to program anything.

Chippp,

Duh, Applied Digital does it right. You can access the parameters with or without a computer or set up the timers individually without the Manager. The setup can be done at any stage and doesn't require the purchase of a computer to utilize all of its benifits. Any of the settings can be reset from scratch in just a few minutes.
