Rep Power: 23 | About 2 weeks ago, we had three beds running. Suddenly a loud continuous beep starts coming out of the TMax Manager and all of the lights start flashing. An E6 code was flashing on several of the beds. But, the actual beds kept running. I unplugged all of the timers in the rooms, waited a couple of minutes and plugged them back in. Everything was fine afterwards. Yesterday afternoon our part-time girl was working by herself. Two beds were running. The continuous beep started again. The E6 code came up. One of the beds cut off and the other one stayed on. She called my cell phone. I walked her through unplugging the timers and plugging them back in. What's the deal with this? What causes this? Is there any way to keep this from happening again? I really cannot afford for this to happen in busy season. |

Rep Power: 0 | tangirl, An E6 is suggesting that communications has been lost from the T-Max Manager and the T-Max timers. You could be getting a surge from either your T-Max power or from one (or more) of the beds. Our newer timers (T-Max 3As version 39 and up) have 'built-in' protection for this. How long, what type and what version are the timers you have? We have the older T-Max 1A timers which have 2 buttons, up to version 8. We also have the newer T-Max 3A timers which have 3 buttons, up to version 41. You can check the version by simply unplugging the timer and plugging it back in. When you do so, a number will appear on the display, possibly two numbers. This number represents the version number. Could you please let me know? If we are dealing with some older timers we can provide you with some components to add for protection from electrical surges. |

Rep Power: 0 | Just to clarify: Version 34 & 35 represent timers built around 3 years ago. Starting with Version 36, we added EMI protection components, and modified the controller software to prevent the events outlined by Tangirl. We offer these upgrades, at no cost, to all customers that have Version 34 or 35 timers. Pretty simple to install... pop out the old chip, pop in the new chip. Dan Boone, ADI |

Rep Power: 0 | Tamar & Tangirl, Give us a call when you get the chips, we'll be glad to help you through the installation. Heads up... you will need a small screwdriver. We will have you turn off the bed power. We will have you unplug the timer power. We will have you remove the four screws holding the timer face on the wall. Pull out the timer. Use the small screwdriver to pop out the old chip. Place the new chip in place of the old chip. Add the MOV to the screw terminals that hold the bed wires. Put the timer back in the wall. Replace the 4 screws. Repower the timer. Repower the bed. Takes about 5-10 minutes per bed. Dan Boone, ADI |
